Aircraft Spruce launches online forums for homebuilders and restorers

By General Aviation News Staff · February 3, 2006 ·

Aircraft Spruce & Specialty has launched a wide range of Internet forums through its website for the benefit of homebuilders and people involved with restoration or maintenance projects. Any aviation enthusiast can post comments, ideas or building tips in any of the Aircraft Spruce Forums.

The forums offer specialized subject areas that should appeal to people involved in projects relating to those areas. In the Workshop area there are forums dealing with: Experimental and Homebuilt Aircraft; Classic and Warbird Restorations; Mechanicals; Racers and Fabricators; and EAA Workshops.

Pilots will be interested in the forums that cover: Avionics; Flyins and Aviation Events; Hot Spots (flying destinations); the FAA; and Light Sport Aircraft.

There is a wide range of subject aircraft, including one on certificated products like Mooney, Piper, Cessna, et.al, and then there are design-specific chat rooms for Acroduster, Acrolite, Acrosport, Barracuda, Breezy, Christavia, Cozy and nine others, plus a category classified as “Other Homebuilts.”

You can link into the forums through an icon on the website’s homepage, AircraftSpruce.com.
