Leading Edge Exhaust Systems receives nod for new Piper models

By General Aviation News Staff · February 3, 2006 ·

Leading Edge Exhaust Systems LLC in Anchorage recently gained FAA approval for its Piper PA-12 150/160 hp short and long mount models, as well as the 180 hp model.

The exhaust system is the same layout as the company’s popular Super Cub system. The only revision to the pipes is the long mount risers that have been extended aft to accommodate the longer engine mount. The PA-12 short mount models are identical to the PA-18 Super Cub.

The FAA/PMA approved PA-12 150/160 hp short and long mount exhaust systems are priced at $3,495 and $3,795. All Piper exhaust systems are complete, including polishing the pipes and new exhaust cylinder gaskets and nuts.
