FACTS Training expands presence in Southeast

By General Aviation News Staff · March 10, 2006 ·

FACTS Training, an emergency procedures and safety training company, will expand into the Southeast by basing one of its corporate aircraft training simulators at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

FACTS has designed and built a fleet of fully mobile cockpit and cabin aircrew emergency procedures simulators. The full motion, mobile simulators provide pilots, flight attendants and executive frequent flyers the benefit of putting into practice emergency procedures learned in the classroom within the confines of a corporate aircraft.

Each simulator includes a procedures cockpit with a full size cabin, over wing emergency exits, galley, lavatory and seating depicting conventional corporate aircraft. A three point hydraulic system provides the capability of experiencing active pitch and roll, simulating turbulence, decompression plus ditchings, gear up and hard landings. Surround sound audio produces realistic noise associated with in-flight emergencies. The cabin also can be filled with a thick smoke to simulate an emergency.
