New flight timer created by pilots

By General Aviation News Staff · March 10, 2006 ·

Leave it to a bunch of pilots to create a pilot-friendly timer for the cockpit. The Flight Timer available from Sporty’s Pilot Shop was created for both VFR and IFR operations.

The unit is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, yet is backlit and has large numbers for ease in viewing. The unit has two independent timers that count up or down, depending on your preference. The alarm has a chime as well as two flashing red lights to get your attention. The alarm sounds for 30 seconds when time has expired. The unit also has a clock that can display in either 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Price: $24.95. It requires two AAA batteries, which are not included.

For more information: 800-SPORTYS.
