Another first in oil filtration for Tempest

By General Aviation News Staff · March 24, 2006 ·

Tempest recently unveiled a new, more positive oil seal for its oil filters using an ADB (anti-drain back) valve. Tempest part numbers AA48108 and AA48109 are used on TCM engines, which require the ADB valve for retaining oil in the filter. Because of the mounting position of the filter, the ADB valve assures oil in the filter when the engine is started, preventing engine oil starvation during the critical starting period.

Tempest’s improved design incorporates an o-ring seal design that assures oil retention in the filter, according to company officials.
