Interested in a pilot getaway in the Bahamas?

By General Aviation News Staff · May 5, 2006 ·

Imagine a beach house in Great Guana Cay, just outside Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas, complete with a 24-foot sailfish boat and a golf cart.

Construction on the $700,000 house is expected to begin next month, according to Greg Turton, owner of Arctic Air, who is building the house. He’s looking for eight pilots who will pay a yearly fee of $3,600 for access to the house.

“It’s similar to a time share, but it will be a year by year thing,” Turton said.

The house will be rented to tourists, but when it is available, the eight pilots will have access to it, based on a rotation system.

Pilots can fly into Marsh Harbor or Treasure Key, he noted.
