Hunters Creek Club offers fly-in hunt

By General Aviation News Staff · May 19, 2006 ·

Grab the dog and the shotgun, and fire up the engines! On Sunday, Sept. 24, pilots will have the opportunity to fly into the DuPont-Lapeer (D95) Airport in Michigan for a day of upland bird hunting at Hunters Creek Club.

The day begins at the airport, with activities and exhibits from companies including Mooney, Cirrus, Piper and Diamond Aircraft.

Pilots and their guests (along with their dogs, if they wish to bring them), will then be shuttled to nearby Hunters Creek Club. After lunch, hunters, guides and dogs will hit the fields for a guided pheasant hunt. There will be a five pheasant harvest limit for each hunter. After the hunt, guests will be shuttled back to the airport for departure around 5 p.m.

Cost: $220 per person.

In the event of bad weather, the hunt will be held Oct. 8.
