New Cessna 172 Buyer’s Guide available

By General Aviation News Staff · May 19, 2006 ·

The Cessna Pilots Association has added the Cessna 172 to its popular series of model-specific Buyer’s Guides, joining the already existing Cessna 182 and Cessna 210 Buyer’s Guides. These guides are for individuals considering buying an aircraft in the months ahead.

The “Cessna 172 Buyer’s Guide” will help you decide if this is the right airplane for you. An entire chapter is devoted to the pros and cons of buying an older model aircraft. What’s the difference between a 1984 Cessna 172 and a 1985 Cessna 172? This Buyer’s Guide will tell you as it lists all model changes year by year for your comparison. Photos of each model year are included.

Other sections cover operating costs, available modifications, FAA paperwork, a proper check out, pricing, insurance, landmark models and engines. All Airworthiness Directives also included. All model years from 1956 through 2006 are covered, as well as all 172 derivatives such as the 172RG, the Hawk XP and the 175 Skylark.

Price: $35 for members and $40 for non-members (plus shipping and handling).
