I have been traveling and was way behind in my reading. I saw your comments regarding a vertical piston engine for a homebuilt helicoper (Ask Paul: What’s the best engine for a kit-built helicopter? March 10 issue). The Brantly used the V0-360 with a carb for the model B-2 and B-2A. I owned the TC for 18 years and called them the Hynes when we made them.
I think you can find these engines on the market and get a first class overhaul for less than the price of a new engine. You might want to pass this on to your readers.
I enjoy your column and think it is very helpful to readers as well as being a good source of safety related information.
