Cirrus offers air conditioning

By General Aviation News Staff · June 9, 2006 ·

Cirrus Design Corp.’s SR22 now offers air conditioning as original equipment.

The Vapor Cycle Air Conditioning System from Enviro costs $19,990.

The company also is offering a fan-driven ventilation system for all SR series aircraft, which circulates ambient or heated air throughout the cabin. The fan, which may be operated in ground and flight modes, is available for $4,850.

Cirrus also has redesigned the environmental controls for easier pilot interface. Functioning like automotive climate controls, the new air conditioning and fan systems allows pilots or passengers to select from a variety of comfort zones including face, face and feet, defrost or a combination of these.
