Monaco Air Duluth’s chief flight instructor earns Gold Seal Award

By General Aviation News Staff · June 9, 2006 ·

Monaco Air Duluth’s chief flight instructor, Gary Lemasters, has earned the Gold Seal Award from the FAA.

Received by less than 1% of flight instructors, the Gold Seal Award is given to people who have met exacting certification standards and documented exceptional achievement in flight instruction. The instructor must have trained at least 10 candidates during the previous 24 months for any pilot rating with at least 80% passing their practical test on the first try. Lemasters trains people for their private, commercial, instrument, flight and ground instructor certificates. His pass rate is 95%.
