Landmark Aviation to install ARINC SKYLink

By General Aviation News Staff · June 23, 2006 ·

Landmark Aviation has entered into a dealership agreement to install the ARINC Direct SKYLink ultra-high speed satellite broadband communication system.

ARINC’s SKYLink provides data intensive business applications, including high-speed Internet, email, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), corporate intranet, and Voice Over IP (VoIP) telephone and FAX over IP (FoIP) services. SKYLink coverage, which is currently available in North America, Europe and the Middle Eastern region, will expand this year to include the North Atlantic region. The system can transmit and receive data in all phases of flight.

Installations will be completed at Landmark Aviation’s Springfield, Ill., maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operation.
