America’s astronauts are making sure future generations have the opportunity to reach for the stars by awarding 18 college students $10,000 scholarships through the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. The idea is to encourage the study of science and engineering. Since its creation in 1985, the foundation has awarded more than $2.3 million in scholarships to some 211 students.
