No crimial charges for teenager who buzzed school

By General Aviation News Staff · August 4, 2006 ·

No criminal charges will be filed against Daniel Morrison, the teenager who allegedly buzzed Pinkerton Academy in Derry, N.H., last month in a Piper Cherokee.

According to school officials, Morrison circled the campus for about 30 minutes at an altitude of no more than 300 feet above ground. The orbit was captured on videotape and reported to law enforcement. Morrison was arrested when he landed at a nearby airport. School officials described it as a senior prank.

The FAA is still investigating the incident. If it is determine that Morrison acted in a reckless manner, the FAA could revoke or suspend his license.
