Carmanah releases next generation in solar-powered LED airfield lighting

Carmanah has released Model A704-5, the next generation in solar-powered LED airfield lighting for permanent, temporary and emergency applications.

As the latest generation in Carmanah’s line of aviation lighting fixtures, the A704-5 offers a range of new features and capabilities, including: Significant improvement in performance, functionality and application for permanent, portable and emergency airfield lighting applications; new lens design with increased vertical divergence and improved performance; optional wireless control from the ground or the air (pilot-activated lighting) using 256-bit encrypted 900 MHz RF signal; control range of up to 2.5 miles; Integrated push-button manual switch for quick, hands-on control of critical lighting functions and diagnostics; more powerful battery system enabling up to 600 hours of operating autonomy without additional charging; and a new integrated carry handle for easy transport.
