Commander Premier Aircraft Corp formed when 50 Aero Commander owners purchased assets of the bankrupt company

By General Aviation News Staff · August 18, 2006 ·

Commander Premier Aircraft Corp., formed last year when 50 Commander owners purchased the assets of the bankrupt company, has opened its factory parts department, which is accepting orders for parts for all models of the single-engine planes.

This is the second operation established by the new company at its Cape Girardeau, Mo. facility. In February, the factory service center opened.

The company is working on obtaining Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) to make new parts. Officials are hopeful it will be in hand soon so the company can start ramping up parts production in September. If all goes well, it plans to roll out its first new Commander around the end of the year.
