Flower Aviation celebrates grand opening at Salina Airport in Kansas

By General Aviation News Staff · August 18, 2006 ·

Salina Airport’s newest customer service facility has formally opened with a ribbon cutting at Flower Aviation’s new executive FBO terminal.

The new $850,000 FBO terminal is a state-of-the-art aircraft service building with many amenities, including a lounge with fireplace, conference room, wireless or Ethernet high-speed Internet access, flight planning center, WSI weather computer, in-house catering and a snooze room with TV, VCR and phone connections.

The new customer service center replaces Flower’s previous KSLN facility that served business aviation crews and passengers for some 30 years.

Since 2002, the Salina Airport Authority has spent more than $9 million on airfield improvements, including rehabilitation of the airport’s 12,300-foot primary runway, and an all-new reliever runway. These improvements support the more than 7,000 business jets that annually land at the airport.
