Scimitar propeller conversion now STC’d for Cessna 310

By General Aviation News Staff · September 22, 2006 ·

Professional Pilots Inc. introduces its new generation, three-blade propeller option for the Cessna 310. STC approval has now been received for installation of composite “Scimitar” MT-Propellers on all IO-470 powered Cessna 310s.

In addition to the increased performance from these propellers, the swept tip design significantly reduces cabin and fly-over noise levels, making cruise flight much more comfortable, company officials note. Because these are composite propellers, nearly all of the troublesome vibration problems commonly experienced in the Cessna 310 are removed, they added.

This propeller model is designed as a direct replacement for the standard two or three blade propellers, so installation is simple.

Price: $24,480, which includes two propellers, spinners, and all STC paperwork.
