Where can an airplane builder go to glean free insight and tips from hundreds of their peers? ExperCraft offers just such a destination at ExperCraft.com via its Simple Log documentation software.
In the two years since Simple Log’s debut, aircraft builders have logged 40,285 hours of progress on more than 100 different types of homebuilt aircraft projects. The log entries, combined with more than 11,000 images, create the largest, single searchable source of aircraft construction notes and photographs ever created.
“I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the popularity of Simple Log,” states ExperCraft’s founder Rob Riggen. “Ease of use was of the utmost importance in developing the software.”
The free software promotes use, which is important to standardizing the documentation process, according to Riggen. “I wasted a lot of time researching for my own aircraft project,” he said. “Most of it was spent trying to figure out where the information was and how to navigate a variety of websites. Simple Log stores all project information in an organized way. This greatly reduces the time builders spend searching projects.”
Any computer with Internet access can be used with Simple Log. No special software is required as the system is accessed just like any other web page, which means users are not limited to their home computer for updates.
