AirGator debuts EFBs

By General Aviation News Staff · January 5, 2007 ·

AirGator, Inc., a provider of electronic flight bags (EFBs), has introduced three new devices: the NAVPad2 SS, which has an 8.4-inch daylight readable touch screen, a high performance, low power consumption processor, and is available in 8Gb or 16Gb configurations; the NAVPadQ SST, which sports a 7-inch touch screen, a 1GHz processor and 32Gb of storage; and the NAVPad F, which is a convertible tablet/notebook with a daylight readable high-res touch screen that swivels to provide standard laptop capabilities when on the ground and TabletPC capabilities in the air. The NAVPad F is based on the Fujitsu 1610D convertible tablet with a sunlight-visible 8.9-inch WXGA touch screen display, 1.2GHz CPU and shock-mounted hard drives from 30 to 80Gb.

All the devices include integrated WiFi and Bluetooth communications capabilities as well as numerous other features to enhance personal and professional productivity, according to AirGator officials.

Prices range from under $1,000 to $4,000.
