Transition to electronic charts at Jepp’s FlyElectronic.net

By General Aviation News Staff · January 19, 2007 ·

Jeppesen recently launched a new website, FlyElectronic.net, dedicated solely to the transition from paper to electronic charts.

The website includes a wealth of information on cost, the legality of flying with electronic charts, hardware and software, as well as answers to frequently asked questions about a paperless cockpit, according to Jeppesen officials. Pilots also can request a free switch kit, which includes a demonstration of how easy it is to use electronic charts.

Jeppesen, which has offered electronic chart solutions since 1996, has three flight planning software packages: FliteStar, JetPlanner and Jeppesen Internet Flight Planner.
