What’s new in training?

By General Aviation News Staff · March 9, 2007 ·

Our focus in this issue is flight training and education, obviously something important for all pilots, not just the students among us. In fact, as legendary pilot Johnny Miller, who is still flying at 101, says, “you are never too old to learn.”

We open with a story on learning the ins and outs of the G1000, featuring Max Trescott, who wrote the book on the glass cockpit for GA pilots. Then we introduce you to the XWind, a one-of-a-kind crosswind simulator designed to make practicing tricky crosswind landings easier — and safer. We finish up this special report with reviews of several books designed to help all pilots continue to learn.
