The Commemorative Air Force will celebrate its 50-year anniversary with a National Patriotic Rally, set for July 9-11, in Las Vegas.
Keynote speaker is Lt. Col. Oliver L. North, a combat-decorated Marine and the host of “War Stories” on the Fox News Channel.
Also on the schedule is Keni Thomas, who is a military analyst on CNN, PBS, NBC and other television networks. The movie “Blackhawk Down” is based on Thomas’ Army company’s mission in Mogadishu, Somalia.
James and Meredith Olson, former CIA operatives, will discuss their involvement in clandestine operations in Paris, Moscow, Austria and Mexico – while raising three children.
Members of the famed Thunderbirds will provide a glimpse of the inner workings of the aerial demonstration team, from selection to training to performing.
The rally also will include a panel of Iraq veterans, who will share the “real story” of what is happening in the war, according to CAF officials.
Several other speakers, as well as entertainers, have been confirmed.
Registration is open to the public, but space is limited. Cost to register is $350, which includes all seminars, entertainment, some meals, special guest speakers and the Wednesday evening gala featuring North.
