First Angel Flight mission flown in Eclipse 500

By General Aviation News Staff · November 9, 2007 ·

The first Angel Flight in an Eclipse 500 was recently completed.

Arranged by Angel Flight West, the mission was to fly a patient from El Monte, Calif., back to her home near Chico. Flown in a newly delivered Eclipse 500, the flight was completed in an hour and 20 minutes.

The mission was piloted by owner Ron Lebel and by Ben Marcus, co-founder of jetAVIVA, the company that manages Lebel’s jet.

“To fly an Angel Flight mission is a great way to help people while having fun and maintaining our proficiency,” Lebel said. “I look forward to flying many more in the future.”
