Cirrus unveils anniversary SR20

By General Aviation News Staff · December 7, 2007 ·

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cirrus SR20, Cirrus Design Corp. is unveiling its 2008 SR20-Generation Three.

Company officials say the plane is “brand new from nose to tail,” and will be available for delivery beginning early next month.

The new SR20 boasts a re-engineered wing, designed with a new carbon-fiber spar that reduces the airplane’s over-all weight.

“Due to the larger wing on the new SR20, we’ve been able to increase the useful load,” said John Gauch, the company’s interim vice president of sales. He also noted that many new features were added to the SR20 without adding any weight.
