Become a World War II ace — at least on your Wii

By Janice Wood · February 8, 2008 ·

Roll, loop, dodge and shoot like a World War II ace with the new “WWII Aces” game for the Nintendo Wii system.

Fly alone or with a friend via split-screen co-op as you join the ranks of the Royal Air Force, Soviet Air Force or Luftwaffe and pilot 12 authentic airplanes, including the Spitfire, Mosquito and He-111, through more than 70 missions based on real events.

Published by Destineer and developed by Arcade Moon, the game immerses players in the intense dogfighting and acrobatic maneuvers that typified World War II. Execute barrel rolls, loops, and last-second dodges with a flick of the Wii remote, or attach the Nunchuck option for a more realistic control scheme, the developers suggest.

The game is scheduled for release in the next few months.
