LSAs flock to the Sunshine State: But where was the sun?

By Meg Godlewski · February 8, 2008 ·

Of all the things that can make a dent in an air show’s attendance, weather probably is the biggest one.

A cold front kept people away on the first day — and the last day — of the fourth U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, held Jan. 17-20 at Sebring Regional Airport in Florida.

When the temperature dropped into the 40s, the Angel Flight booth did brisk business selling sweatshirts.

Every day was windy, but not so windy that there was a disruption of demonstration flights. LSAs of every shape and design took to the sky.

Next year’s Expo is slated for Jan. 15-19.
