Updated Aircraft Cost Evaluator released

By Janice Wood · October 15, 2008 ·

Conklin & de Decker recently released its 2008 Volume II Aircraft Cost Evaluator software.

The software is designed to make it easier to compare operating costs for more than 490 business aircraft models, according to officials with Conklin & de Decker.

The latest release of the Aircraft Cost Evaluator (ACE) adds 10 aircraft, including the Beechcraft Premier II, the Falcon 900LX, the Cirrus SR20G3, SR22G3 and SRVG3, Piper Matrix, Enstrom F28-F, Cheyenne I, MU-2K and MU-2P.

The new version also was updated with the latest fuel, maintenance, labor, parts and engine costs, according to company officials.

With the software, users can compare up to three aircraft side-by-side, edit nearly two dozen variables, change currencies, and more, officials said, noting a query function allows the user to narrow the selection to those that meet specific performance criteria.

Price: $625 for Jets, $550 for Turboprops or Helicopters and $450 for Piston. Updated twice each year, the cost includes the original CD plus one free update. Handbooks are available for an additional $60 each.
