A partnership between Avidyne Corp., Southern Star Avionics of Mobile, Ala., and Crownair Aviation, Inc. of San Diego, has received an STC for the retrofit installation of Avidyne’s Entegra integrated flight deck in Cessna 210 and T210 Series single-engine piston aircraft.
The Avidyne Entegra suite is part of Crownair’s “Centurion Edition” refurbishment program that includes the dual-display Entegra glass flight deck, a new S-TEC 55X autopilot, Hartzell scimitar heated prop, WAAS-capable GPS systems, new paint, a new interior, extensive engine modifications, and a J.P. Instruments digital engine monitor.
The 210 and T210 were once Cessna‘s top-of-the-line single-engine piston aircraft and are still widely used IFR cross-country cruisers, according to Avidyne officials. This STC provides the basis for future installations of the Entegra suite into the more than 8,400 Cessna 210-series aircraft that were built between 1959 and 1985.
In addition to the Cessna 210 series, Entegra systems are also available for retrofit in a growing list of aircraft makes and models including Cessna 441 Conquest IIs, King Air 200s, King Air 90s, Cessna 300 and 400 Series piston twins, and pre-Entegra-equipped Cirrus SR20 and SR22 single-engine piston aircraft. Southern Star holds the AML STC for the entire list of single-PFD aircraft installations.
Pricing for the Entegra integrated flight deck equipment begins at $29,995 for the EXP5000 PFD and $13,995 for the EX5000 MFD. For more information: Avidyne.com, SouthernStar.aero and CrownairAviation.com.
