Fabric restoration seminar slated

American Legend Aircraft Co. will host a three-day seminar featuring Clyde Smith Jr., “The Cub Doctor” and noted fabric aircraft restoration expert, Feb. 20-22, at Sulphur Springs Municipal Airport (KSLR) in Northeast Texas.

Smith, who is well known in the classic Piper aircraft industry, dedicates his time to preserving the art of construction and restoration of fabric covered aircraft. He also is a member of the American Legend advisory board. In this role, he provides direction and advice on the manufacture of the Legend Cub, a light sport certified design based on the classic Piper J-3, PA-11, and Super Cub. Smith is a 19-year veteran of Piper Aircraft Corp., where he served in such capacities as engineering drafting, technical writing, technical instruction, product support, and Super Cub kit program creator.

Cost of the seminar is $380; a $50 reservation/deposit is required.
