Yvonne Morris has been named executive director of the Arizona Aerospace Foundation.
Morris, who is also director of the Titan Missile Museum, has been serving as acting executive director since June.
The Arizona Aerospace Foundation operates the Titan Missile Museum, the Pima Air & Space Museum, and the Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame.
Morris has served as the Director of the Titan Missile Museum in Sahuarita, Arizona, since October 2004. As a captain in the United States Air Force, she was one of the missile combat crew commanders responsible for missile site 571-7, which is now the Titan Missile Museum.
Morris received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction in Speech and Communications from the University of Virginia. She was assigned to the 390th Strategic Missile Wing (SMW) at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, where she served as a Missile Combat Crew Commander and instructor.
Morris has been involved with the Arizona Aerospace Foundation since 1998. She was a docent and instructor at the Titan Missile Museum, a member of the board of trustees and chair of the foundation’s Titan Missile Museum Committee which provided oversight for the design and construction of the Count Ferdinand von Galen Education and Research Center for the Titan Missile Museum.
Morris replaces Daniel J. Ryan, who resigned in June to return to California.
