The Greater Seattle Chapter of the 99s plans to present a Flying Companion Seminar at the Northwest Aviation Trade Show, to be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at the Puyallup (Washington) Fairgrounds.
If you are a pilot with a “nervous Nelly or Ned” in your right seat, the seminar will explain what’s going on and make the non-pilot right seater more comfortable, and even helpful, the sponsors state.
Topics covered include flight controls, aerodynamics and instruments, communications, radios and air traffic control, chart reading, safety, and emergency procedures, along with suggestions on interesting places to fly.
The cost of the seminar is $49.50, the money going to fund the Greater Seattle Chapter 99s scholarship program. Pre-registration is required.
