Education and training tracks for aircraft maintenance managers and technicians will be highlighted at the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) 2009 Aviation Maintenance and Management Symposium, slated for March 6-7 at the American Airlines Training and Conference Center in Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Topics to be discussed include bearing maintenance, turbochargers and fuel injectors, human factors, aircraft composite structures, runway safety, FAA updates, improved techniques and practices, legal factors, and maintenance and operations updates from OEMs.
In addition to a separate, full-day schedule of training for directors of maintenance, the event will feature new product exhibits, inspection authorization renewal classes, several networking opportunities, and career enhancement opportunities.
Also, the symposium will see the return of the PAMA Olympics, which will provide aviation maintenance professionals a series of challenges to see who can get jobs done faster, more accurately, and more economically in this competition against time and other mechanics.
