Russian investors want partners or buyers for AAI

By Janice Wood · January 30, 2009 ·

Russian investment firm Industrial Investors announced on Jan. 29 that it is seeking to sell all or part of AAI Acquisition, the company formed to buy the assets of bankrupt Adam Aircraft Industries last April, according to Aviation International News.

The magazine’s on-line newsletter reported that a company spokesman said, “All options are on the table, and our goal is to see [the A700 very light jet] succeed.” He added that Industrial Investors would prefer to find a partner to develop the A700, but would consider an outright sale of AAI if necessary. The Russian firm has set a deadline of February 28 for “initial requests,” the newsletter said.
