Las Vegas McCarran runway closure continues

By Janice Wood · February 5, 2009 ·

The Las Vegas McCarran (LAS) Runway 25L/7R construction closure continues, according to a notice from NBAA. The runway is expected to return to service on or near May 1.

In the meantime, arrival on Runways 1L and 25R and departure Runways 1R and 1L provides the greatest capacity and should be used if at all possible, NBAA advised. However, some business aviation operators are using alternate airports in the Las Vegas area, such as Henderson Executive (HND) and North Las Vegas (VGT). Both have modern facilities and reliable ground transportation options.
