Less than four months after unveiling its new name, strategic direction, and economic development and marketing objectives, the South Carolina Technology & Aviation Center (SCTAC) in Greenville, has eight projects underway.
Projects at the former Donaldson Center include: 3M just received a certificate of occupancy on recent $150 million expansion; Vetroresina just received a certificate of occupancy on its new facility; several upgrade/expansion projects are underway at Lockheed-Martin; Southeastern Dock and Door is adding a new warehouse; Cytec’s $250 million expansion is underway, with 12 building permits issued so far; the Army National Guard will break ground this year on a $45 million Center of Excellence; the Greenville County School District is building a new school Bbus service and maintenance center; and the new SCTAC facilities management office will open on the airfield in early Spring.
The South Carolina Technology & Aviation Center is the largest general aviation airport in the state with more than 50,000 flights annually.
