Heli-Expo ends on positive note

By Janice Wood · February 25, 2009 ·

Heli-Expo 2009 set an attendance record despite the economic downturn, according to a closing day statement from Helicopter Association International. While a total of 17,373 people attended the show last year, this year’s final figures was 17,995, the association said as the show ended on Feb. 24.

The 585 exhibitors reported high activity at their booths, and vendors were able to interact with thousands of attendees on the floor, the statement said. HAI committee meetings and educational seminars were well attended, and the Heli-Expo Job Fair was a success, with 35 employers and more than 550 jobseekers participating, it was reported.
