Lyon County Fly-In readies for takeoff

The Lyon County Fly-In is slated for May 16-17 at Nevada’s Silver Springs/Lyon County Regional Airport (SPZ).

The fly-in includes a pancake breakfast, flight demonstrations, fly-bys, rocket displays, model planes, military and antique planes, and a search & rescue demonstration by NAS Fallon Search & Rescue.

lyonYoung Eagles flights (pictured) for children between the ages of 8 and 17 will be offered. Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 403 will fly Young Eagles in RV6, Velocity, Cherokee, Arrow and Piper Colt planes.
