A Fort Lauderdale aviation firm wants to build a 74-room hotel, a new terminal, three new hangars and some office space at Orlando Executive Airport (ORL).
The Orlando Municipal Planning Board recently recommended approval of SheltAir Orlando Air Center Inc.’s master plan for the proposed $10 million, four-phase project, according to a report in the Orlando Business Journal.
It would include three hangars totaling 42,500 square feet, a 30,625-square-foot Microtel Inn & Suites with corporate meeting space and an 8,400-square-foot general aviation flight terminal at the southeast corner of Livingston Street and Maguire Boulevard. The property is part of the 37.7 acres SheltAir Orlando Air Center leases.
