Mid-Continent Instruments is celebrating its 45th anniversary as a provider of aircraft instruments.
Established in 1964, Mid-Continent Instruments began as a small repair station supporting Wichita’s growing aircraft industry. Today, the company has more than 160 employees between two locations and operates one of the world’s largest overhaul/exchange facilities with the expertise to overhaul more than 5,000 different aviation products.
Mid-Continent also is one of the top 10 aircraft instrument manufacturers focused on custom design and development of panel mount instruments and avionics. The company has spent decades enhancing product designs and refining new technologies for companies such as Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft, Cirrus, Mooney, Piper and Robinson Helicopter.
Mid-Continent’s engineering department has more than doubled in the last two years, as the company continues to provide product development solutions to nearly every aircraft manufacturer in the general aviation industry.
