General aviation aircraft flying in to Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) in Eagle, Colo., need to be aware of a runway closure from April 15 through September 1. The airport’s only runway will be closed during that time.
Taxiway A will be reconfigured as Runway 7/25, providing 7,100 feet of usable runway to daylight VFR-only traffic, and only aircraft with a wingspan of less than 79 feet and an approach speed of less than 120 knots (category B-II) will be permitted to use that runway. The taxiway will be repainted with non-precision approach markings, but neither runway edge lights nor precision approach path indicator (PAPI) will be available.
