Groups team to address workforce crisis

By Janice Wood · April 8, 2009 ·

Careers in Aviation has entered a formal partnership with the Florida Aviation Trades Association (FATA), designed to bring awareness to the aviation industry’s workforce crisis, according to officials.

“Our industry must look toward the future. Even more during these global economic times, we must all focus toward the next generation of our industry’s workforce,” said Paula Raeburn, FATA executive director. “Our partnership with Careers in Aviation sends a significant message to our industry partners. We should all be asking ourselves, ‘How can we make a difference?'”

Careers in Aviation advances aerospace education and employment by fostering scholarships, by connecting students with available assistance, and by encouraging the aviation industry, professional associations, government agencies, and the educational community to work together to support aviation and space career development programs.
