New features added to Sporty’s pilot training courses

By Janice Wood · April 9, 2009 ·

sportysprivatecourseSporty’s DVD courses now offer the endorsement to take the FAA written examination.

To be eligible for the written exam endorsement, users must complete the video training material and demonstrate comprehension by completing practice examinations, according to Sporty’s officials.

“Working with students to complete the FAA written exam first will allow them to focus on their flight training,” said Eric Radtke, president of Sporty’s Academy.

Sporty’s Complete Flight Training Courses will prepare students for the written, oral and flight tests, officials said, noting every task within the Practical Test Standards (PTS) is cross referenced to where that subject can be found in the course. Sporty’s is so confident in its course that if you don’t pass all three tests, your money will be refunded, officials add.

In addition to this new feature, Sporty’s Complete Private Pilot Course includes an all-new section on GPS usage, an expanded weather section and access to Sporty’s online written test preparation program.

Price: $199.
