Kansas Aviation Museum to open Boeing wing

By Janice Wood · April 17, 2009 ·

Boeing and the Kansas Aviation Museum have become partners to renovate one wing of the museum, which will be renamed The Boeing Wing. The space will be used for rotating exhibits, the first of which will focus on the Boeing Radar Range story.

The exhibit, which explains details of an experimental radar range once operated by Boeing, is housed in the original air terminal for Wichita. It will open April 18 at 2 p.m., according to a news release, and will feature photographs, interviews and scale models.
