By Janice Wood · April 17, 2009 ·

According to the Gulf News, published in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates business aviation sector is growing at a rate of 18% a year as the country becomes a hub for regional and international markets.

“The current and projected growth of our aviation sector defies the odds of the global economic slowdown,” Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri said April 17 at a conference on air transport, airspace law and regulation in Abu Dhabi, which is being attended by aviation and air law experts from around the world, government officials and aviation sector professionals. Al Mansouri is Minister of Economy and chairman of the UAE Civil Aviation Authority.
