Fantasy of Flight’s Military Appreciation Month

By Janice Wood · May 12, 2009 ·

The Fantasy of Flight aviation-themed attraction at Polk City, Fla., is offering special discounts to armed forces members and to Florida residents during May.

May marks National Military Appreciation Month and Fantasy of Flight “is pleased to honor the brave individuals of our US Armed Forces by extending free admission to all active-duty, retired and reserve military, between May 1 and 31,” said Kermit Weeks, the organization’s founder. Guests need only to present a current ID to qualify, he said. Florida residents are being offered $8 off of the regular adult admission during May.

Later this summer, the attraction plans to honor hospitality service industry employees with another “summer special,” from July 1 through Sept. 30, Weeks said. Employees of Florida accommodations, restaurants and bars are invited to visit Fantasy of Flight with a special buy one, get one free admission offer, he stated. The complimentary ticket will be valid when accompanied by a guest buying a full price, paid adult admission ticket, Weeks explained. Proof of hospitality industry employment must be presented at the Fantasy of Flight admission desk to qualify.
