During a recent meeting of the Arizona Business Aviation Association (AZBAA), members were told that scholarship donations have increased the organization’s education fund by more than $12,000. Since AZBAA’s inception, the group has provided more than $80,000 for college scholarships, helping students at Arizona colleges and universities pursue careers in business aviation.
At the same meeting, an FAA representative presented AZBAA founder Rich Schuller with the 2009 Charles Taylor Award, named for the mechanic who built the Wright brothers’ engines, recognizing Schuller’s 50 years of aviation maintenance service.
