Jay LaFoy has been appointed president of L-3 Avionics Systems.
LaFoy will oversee all aspects of the L-3 Avionics Systems business, which is a supplier of avionics products for the general aviation, business jet, military and commercial air transport markets.
He has more than 25 years of aviation industry experience in the areas of operations, manufacturing and MRO. He joined L-3 Avionics Systems in 1996 as the director of operations and he has held a variety of increasingly responsible positions there, including managing the Florida MRO business, and most recently serving as executive vice president. Prior to that, he held management positions at Goodrich Aerospace.
He holds an associate degree in business management from Champlain College. In 1992 he completed an Executive Education Program at the University of Michigan Business School.
