Mid-Atlantic Aviation Coalition-New Jersey gets message across

By Janice Wood · May 29, 2009 ·

Aviation organizations from around New Jersey took exhibits to the State House in Trenton during General Aviation Awareness Week, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Aviation Coalition-New Jersey, which was held May 18 through May 22. The event demonstrates the value of general aviation to the state and its communities.

MAAC-NJ’s display was set up in Goldfinch Square, a prominent location at the junction of the State House and the State House Annex. MAAC-NJ members staffed the exhibits, passing out educational material to members of the New Jersey Senate and Assembly, their staff members, and other State House employees. Key members of the legislature, such as Assembly Transportation Committee Chairman John Wisniewski and Assembly Transportation Committee Vice-Chair Linda Stender, Senator Diane Allen, Senator Tony Bucco, Assemblymen Rick Merkt and John Giblin, and Department of Transportation Commissioner Stephen Dilts all talked with MAAC staff.
