Veterans and active duty military members of all branches of the armed services will have a chance to fly in a N2S-5 Boeing Kaydet for free this summer, beginning June 23 at the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Mich. Flights are courtesy of the Air Zoo and pilot/sponsor Alan Wright.
“We, along with Alan, are pleased to be able to ‘give back’ to those who sacrificed to defend our national freedom,” says Bob Ellis, executive director of the Air Zoo.
Flights – which will run through Aug. 26 – will be offered each Tuesday and Wednesday (weather permitting). Flights will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and those flying will need to sign a waiver. A maximum of six flights per day will be offered, and veterans must reserve a flight by calling the Air Zoo.
To make a reservation, call 269-382-6555, ext. 121.
